The highly anticipated 4th installment in the Jurassic Park series hit theatres last weekend and also set a world record. The movie grossed $511.8 million globally and became the first movie ever to make more than $500 million dollars in its first weekend. In America, Jurassic World earned the second biggest debut in U.S. history making over $204 million dollars right behind The Avengers which earned just over $207 million. The movie, which stars Chris Pratt from Guardians of the Galaxy and Bryce Howard from The Help, takes place 22 years after the closure of Jurassic Park. Now a new fully-operational park, Jurassic World, stands in its place. After attendance to the park begins to decline, scientists at Jurassic World genetically engineer a new dinosaur which they plan to unveil until something at the park goes terribly wrong.
