First the Kindle, then the Fire Phone, now say hello to Echo. Echo is the latest gadget to be released by the world’s largest online retailer, Amazon. Amazon’s newest product serves as a personal assistant that uses a “cloud-based voice service” to answer questions, play music, read books, check your calendar, create lists, turn the lights on or off, and more! Echo is a black, cylindrical speaker that stands 9 inches tall and can fit virtually anywhere in your home. You can ask Echo virtually any question such as, “What does the weather look like?”, “What NFL games are on this weekend?”, or “What is escargot?” and Echo will provide you an answer. All you have to do is say, “Hey Alexa,” and then ask a question. Echo has received rave reviews from customers as well as many tech gurus. Echo retails for $179.99 and can only be purchased through Amazon’s website.
