American Idol winner and country superstar, Carrie Underwood has just released a new single from her upcoming album Storyteller. The single, called “Smoke Break”, was written by Underwood along with help from Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano. The track was also produced by Jay Joyce who is known for his work with other country artists such as Little Big Town and Eric Church. Underwood described her inspiration for the song saying, “We were writing and kept taking breaks to go outside because we were getting a little stuck on a song we were already working on. It was so beautiful outside, that we had a hard time focusing so we decided to write a song about taking breaks! Smoke Break seemed like a great title, so we ran with it!” You can listen to Smoke Break out now but you’ll have to wait to hear the rest of Underwood’s new album Storyteller, until its release on October 23rd.
