Eric Holder, the Head of the Department of Justice, recently announced his resignation after serving a six-year term. President Obama made the announcement saying, “Eric has done a superb job.” Eric Holder was one of the last of Obama’s original cabinet members. Holder got very emotional after the announcement and said, “I will leave the Department of Justice, but ... I will never leave the work.” Eric Holder is the fourth-longest serving Attorney General in the history of the United States and the first African-American to serve in the position. Holder has agreed to stay until another Attorney General is found.
