We all instantly recognize Hollywood stars and know many of their names, but what about actors in commercials? Nowadays, many companies use the same actors in their commercials who we often recognize but are no more familiar with than the girl on the Progressive commercial or the guy who is always causing mayhem. So take some time and get to know these familiar and funny faces.

Mayhem from the Allstate Commercial

You probably know Dean Winters better as Mr. Mayhem. Always wreaking havoc on people and places in his commercials, Winters shows us that life could be really scary if we weren’t covered by Allstate. Winters has starred in several popular TV shows including Law & Order and 30 Rock, as well as several movies. He was born in New York City and later moved to Arizona when he was a teenager. Winters started making commercials with Allstate in 2010 and has continued to do so all the way through 2014.

Flo from the Progressive Commercial

There is almost no doubt that you know Flo. Flo stars as a perky saleswoman in a host of commercials for Progressive Insurance. Flo’s real name is Stephanie Courtney and she was born in New York. Stephanie began filming commercials for Progressive in 2008 and has been in over 50 commercials for the company. She also has made appearances in several movies and TV shows including Blades of Glory, The Heartbreak Kid, ER, and Mad Men. Stephanie reportedly makes $500,000 a year as Flo and plans to continue her acting career.
