Have you ever dumped a bucket of ice water on yourself? Probably not. But that’s what thousands of people are doing all across the country. Massachusetts resident Pete Frates created the “Ice Bucket Challenge” in order to raise awareness for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Once his challenge went viral, thousands accepted it. All kinds of people, in all different places, have posted videos of themselves getting soaked with icy water. Even several celebrities have taken up the challenge including Jimmy Fallon, Chris Christie, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Kelly Clarkson, Martha Stewart, Elizabeth Banks, Tiger Woods, George W. Bush, and Justin Timberlake. So how can you get in on the action? Simple. Have someone take a video of you dumping a bucket of ice water on your head, challenge 3 other people to do the same, and post it on your favorite social media site using the hashtag #IceBucketChallenge.
