According to a report from Education News, since 1999, the number of kids who are homeschooled has increased by 75%! It was also reported that many common stereotypes about homeschoolers were proven incorrect. It was shown that those who were educated individually typically scored in the 65th and 89th percentile on standardized tests, while most in average schools settings scored around the 50th percentile. Also, according to the National Home Education Research Institute, homeschoolers tend to be more sociable and more mature than most in public schools.
