President Obama spoke in Minnesota and voiced his opinion about gun laws. Obama urged for a push in gun control laws. He and his fellow Democrats believe there need to be more background checks. The President said, “The overwhelming majority of gun owners think (universal background checks are) a good idea,” The N.R.A. (National Rifle Association) has supported universal background checks in the past, but say that now the process is too flawed. The N.R.A. says background checks will put gun buyers through a needless hassle. No one can be sure what measures, if any, will be taken to establish universal background checks.
